It is 680 square inches for Merco .61. It is ready for covering and weighs 43 ounces with all the bits bolted in.

Ship looks good. More details, like, is that a Geo-Bolt wing? Those truss type wings are stiff, aren't they! Keep us posted. DOC Holliday

No Doc, it isn't a Geobolt wing. Just a sort of home brew of my own built on a lost foam fixture that I made a few years back.

That looks really nice, Charlie. Can you give a closeup of the rudder attachment. That looks really sweet.

Hi Randy, There is no separate rudders. The two fins just slide on to the ends of the stabiliser and get glued (hopefully) straight with no offset intended. The elevator is in one piece and consequently has to be a bit shorter than the stabiliser to fit between them. There is a minimal gap between the elevator and the fins. The photo may help you I hope. The attachment is just 2 parallel 1/16th" ribs spaced to suit the stabiliser thickness with 1/16th support strips on edge above and below those ribs. The fins have outlines laminated from 6 layers of 1/16th" steamed around a former and glued with aliphatic. They weigh about 7 1/2 grams each.
