I have built only two Alromasters, the first has a Fox .15X with muffler. It uses a Perfect (now Brodak) normal vented tank. The second has extended wings by using the leading edge and trailing edge full length (without cutting off the ends). You need to make some new wing parts to do that. It is powered by a Thunder Tigre .10, with muffler, using a normal vented tank. If you prefer a uniflow tank, by all means go for it.
There is a lot of room for adjustment in the engine space. If you build light, you might want to move the engine back as much as possible. There is enough room to shorten the nose a bit, depending on which tank you use.
The fuselage and tail section were built per plans. In both planes the included hardware was used. I would suggest using the two wheel LG.
I did not use adjustable leadouts on either plane. Your choice. A tip weight box is nice.
Good luck with it.
