a coumpany making good
« on: June 02, 2025, 09:00:40 PM »
It is a good feeling to be able to report something good for a change.
over 2 weeks ago a put in an order with McMasters-Car ,they usually ship in two to 3 days , so after two weeks i called them to see what happened .after looking up my order it was found that they had shipped it to my old address in palm Bay florida instead fo my new Coconut Creek address . after apologizing said they would send out a new order that same day, Two days later i had my order .
i will use McMasters when ever i can ,and a big thanks to them as they saved me a lot of head aches getting ready this week RAD

They have incredibly good customer service and their website is absolutely the best parts type website that exists and has been since they created it. I have spent untold Tens of thousands of dollars with them over the years.
Now my complaint. Since the first of this year many of the items I have been ordering are not from the same manufacturer as before. I first noticed it with Nickel-plated Brass Push-to-connect air fittings. For 20 years they have supplied Norgren fittings, which are the best you can get. What I'm receiving now are JUNK by comparison. The next item was water filter housings. They have always supplied the Pentek Big Blue 20's, which again are the best there are. What I received was much lower quality and the o-ring was deformed and broke the first time I tightened it down. Neither of these products had a manufacturing label or marking. Thank goodness the true-union ball valves were still Heyward brand.

It seems to me that McMaster is buying cheaper products to increase their bottom line while maintaining their same high prices. The reason that I have used them so much over the years is because they have almost everything and you NEVER had to question the quality. That unfortunately is no longer the case.
