A blog is what you make it!

A blog is what you put into it. Its your own personal web site. So if you registered and are waiting for something to happen it will be a long time wait. You have to do it.

I want to blog. I really do. It's just that I have difficulty thinking of something to blog about. Unless it's politics. I could rant ALL DAY on politics. However, I've learned that I'm really happier not knowing some of my stunt buddies political views.
I could blog music, but most people don't dig the music I'm into.
So, that leaves airplanes. Maybe the blog the whole BOM debate?

I dunno. ???

I do? Ummm.... I mean of course I do. Piece of cake.

Added-    I cannot figure it out. I spent an hour writing a blog then hit "submit". It's nowhere to be found.  HB~>

Robert: I have a problem with my blog, I cant post in it. When I click on "New post" my browser directs me to a login screen and when I try to login the page only refreshes and the same login screen is shown again. I can log in to my profile without problems. I have tried with Safari (MAC), Firefox (Linux and MAC) and IE (windows).

Look for your profile button. When it refreshes look at the top left of the screen it has a button back to. Click that.

I prefer to ignite fury. Briefly. Controversial stunt topics have been chewed over so many times. BOM. ARF arfs. Even the PAMPA/Brodak wars have passed and healed. (Sort of.) What to do. Yesterday I saw my good friend, as pinko as I, joking with a guy who had Rush blaring in the background of his hot rod engine shop. I asked my friend how he did that, know someone of that persuasion. "Don't talk politics..." was his response. O.

Robert: I must be an idi*t (which I probably am, according to some...) but I cant get this to work. I choose "New post" from the menu then I get forwarded to the login screen. If I log in and then click the back button I get redirected to my blogs first page to do  but I don't get the possibility to write something. Could this have anything to do with the fact that I'm using non-english browsers? (shouldn't matter).

I'm using IE and I'm getting the same thing.  But using the wire or the groups is not a problem, just posting on the blog is what I can't get to.

Same problem here. I tried to start a blog, but it wouldn't let me write anything. I did end up posting by using the reply feature, it didn't seem to work. Also, the blog was put in uncatagorized(sp). The blog was titled "Build or buy". I cant find it anywhere now.

Yea I don't think this is ready for prime time just yet. Everytime I change my password to some thing I can remember it will not let me log back in. Also it will not bring up a default blog page. So we can create a blog, but it is just a blank page. No place to uploade photos, or add text. Just the basic Welcome World Message.

Maybe being an Admin shows all the bells and whistles, but to the EU it is not working.

I hate the word 'blog' - diminutive form of weB LOG.. Disgusting sounding term, like something horrible to do to another human: "I will *blog* you severely about the head and shoulders!". Or: "Last night I had too much beer and pizza, and at ten I *blogged* my guts out." Or: "As I stepped down, I felt the unmistakable, sickening mushy sound - I had stepped on a *blog*, and these were brand new wingtips.."

Even stupider is 'tweeting' - PLEASE! Clearly another techno-moronic creation - what sort of dufus would 'tweet' things? As in: "As I bent over I couldn't help but strain, and accidentally *tweeted*, to my great embarrassment." Or: "My child has developed this ugly habit of *tweeting* from the supper table." Or: "That's a great *tweeter* - but your woofer is entirely too small." Or: "*Tweeter* wanta a cracker?"

What's next?  ::)

Maybe we could just have discussion, say a discussion thread.

Well I have lodged in as Joe user and I can figure it out. But its there if someone wants to use it. I finally got the Class worked out. Took 3 days. Now I can set my sights on curriculum.

Larry, I am in total agreement with you!!  I hate "blog" and "tweet"!!  The English language has served us well for many years.  Why do some people find it necessary to invent a new language?

Spend some time studying literature from the 1500s and 1600s, and you will really see some shift.  Believe it or not, dictionaries from the 1800s are so much in demand that some are being reprinted.  I think that the U.S. Constitution is often misunderstood and misrepresented because people don't bother to truly learn the English in which it is written.  Same goes for other documents.  Oddly, writtings from the 1700s are often more easily understood by modern readers than writtings from the 1800s.  It seems to me that in the 1800s there was a fad of trying to sound "scholarly" and "sophisticated" rather than simply aiming to accurately convey an idea or truth.  I think that the way we currently teach English in public schools is part (only part) of the more recent and quicker drift that you guys are mentioning.  ...I got more to say...              ...Maybe I should "blog" it...       ...It'd never fit in a "tweet"...

A finishing class would be terrific. I plan to build an Impact this winter. I'd like it to not be too shabby.
