BTW, if they decided to put CL Stunt in the Olympics, I would have roughly the same reaction - it would be completely ludicrous. There are plenty of huge legitimate sports - baseball being the most obvious - that are not in the Olympics, but garbage sports like rhythmic gymnastics, artistic swimming, ice dancing, and now breakdancing are added. Ask yourself - how many people went to a "artistic swimming" meet in the last 10 years, VS, say, an amateur baseball game? There are college baseball stadiums with capacities of 20,000 people. That's probably more in one game (say a rivalry game or NCAA championship) than have ever watched artistic swimming from the day it was invented, unless you were a relative of the participants.
I might watch the CL Stunt Gold Medal round, but only because I would either be in it, or know everyone in it - not because of the tremendous spectator appeal. And this is from someone who has stayed up until 3 in the morning watching curling - a sport I will never ever do, because I don't like being around ice!
