CNC Autodesk FUSION 360
« on: September 23, 2020, 02:19:34 AM »
While in Cleveland watching TV at night in the room I saw a Commercial for a CNC router/Laser cutter. That got me interested in the project. So when I returned home I did some research and bought one. It should arrive today.

Tonight (Wednesday) I will put it together on Youtube. I downloaded Inkscape for G-code and Autodesk Fusion 360. The neat thing about the Fusion 360 program is the a team can collaborate on a project through a team. 360 is free to use for HOBBY use. My team is appropriately named Stunt Hangar. You might be a little too late Sparky.  I got an email last week from Autodesk:

"Effective October 1, 2020, functionality in Fusion 360 for personal use will be limited, and you’ll no longer have access to the following:

Probing, 3 + 2-axis milling (tool orientation), multi-axis milling, rapid moves, automatic tool changes
Multi-sheets, smart templates, output options for drawings (print only).
Download options from public share links
Cloud rendering
Export options including F3Z, DWG, DXF, IGES, SAT, and STEP
Simulation and generative design
Unlimited active and editable Fusion 360 documents (10 doc limit).
Fusion 360 extensions"

Needless to say, hobbyist are pissed.  You might be able to use it for your particular projects but get ready to shell out $50 month if you want more of the features.
