They have been hanging in the shop since last year. See attachment.
Have plans for cleanup and c/o flights before Saturday.

We anticipate 17 - 20 pilots plus some "first timers" and about 22 Ringmasters, if all show up as promised.
All sizes, all types of power - electric, .061, .15, ,35, .40.
Our "gourmet chef, Bob Whitney",  has volunteered to do the grilling.

Don't worry about the blushing, it will disappear over time.   I will be in Topeka days with my Ringmasters.

Here is a photo of Akihiro Danjo's new Ringmaster! It could be the first Ringmaster to fly for Japan this weekend but Akihiro says that the weather forecast is not favorable. (Sigh)  :'(

Akihiro is paralyzed and a wheelchair user!!! Let us hope that the weather forecast improves so that he can fly the new Ringmaster.

I'm not betting the farm but we could get some fights from Mongolia this year!! Talk about a Worldwide Fly-A-Thon!!!

We are still counting on the US and Canada for putting up most of the flights (don't count Brazil out) so I hope you all are going to pitch in and fly!!

Enjoy!!

Here's a couple of pics for the Balsa Beavers as I promised last year.  H^^

The Ringmaster Jr is for my 6 year old to solo with on the 5th. He's rather proud to have helped in the build :).

Meanwhile repairs to my 10 year old's PAW 19 powered Ringmaster S1A are underway after a 'forced landing at speed'. Just need to re-hinge the elevator now the wing damage is fixed & patched.

A Maine Fly-a-Thon in will take place on Saturdat Oct 5 in Topsham, Maine at the BAM (Brunswick Area Modelers) field. We'll be sharing the field with the radio flyers and hope to put a handle in the hands of more than a few. We've got so far, 3 S-1s, 1 S-1 with sheeted LE, 2 Juniors, 1 1/2A and a totally busted up Super Ringmaster whose rotted cotton hinges let go during a loop. It will be an honorary guest. Some engines include a Stallion 35, a Torpedo Greenhead 35, 1960s era Fox 35 Stunt, Enya 29,35, Fox Rocket 35 and a new Fox 15 for my Jr.

Tomorrow is the day for the Balsa Beavers in Toronto,
but I couldn't wait to try the Ringmaster Biplane, so I
put up two today.
We're having strong winds but The Bipe survived to
make the scene tomorrow.

The Balsa Beavers have been flying since about 9:00 this morning at the Bayview field in Burlington, Ontario.  When I showed up shortly after noon they had 30+ flights in the book.  When I left an hour+ later they were approaching 50 and planning on 75 for the day.  Another 75 planned for tomorrow although some heavy rain is forecast.  One of the fellows said he was stopping on his way home today to pick up a good raincoat so he can fly tomorrow.  I even put up a flight on a borrowed Ringmaster.  First time ever and I'm almost 70!

I'd like to report the suggestive  CLP** number of 69 flights today and only one crash, baby ring was caught by the wind, no biggie...
We're aiming for 150+ flights, and considering a few people were working today and therefore didn't come will come tomorrow...
It's amazing wha t a few model airplanes, a barbecue grill and a cooler can do...
I've eaten so much already and we're leaving for the pizza place in 20 minutes...

I made two flights with the line clips open.... LOL.... Had to replace the lines and left them open...LOL...

Will have to relay the info to Melvin Schuette of MBS Model Supply.   I arrived at the Topeka field about 0830 and Jim Lee was flying Melvin's Ringmaster.   I got my lines out and got ready to fly.  Knew I was in for it as the legs were really killing me after the drive up.   Managed 6 flights with Melvin starting engines for all flights including his.   Can't thank him enough for that.   It was cold and the wind was coming up.  So I rolled up lines after the sixth flight, guess I'm getting old.  Jim had other things going, but had 8 flights.   I helped Melvin get his 30 flights in before he called it quits.   Hope it is nicer Sunday,  otherwise I will take more pain pills.   He hopes we can beat the club effort of 87 flights of last year.

I don't know how many flights so far, but my son and I stayed later after everyone else left and put up another 9 - 10 flights. And even found help to put up a double S-1 flight. Here's a picture of our youngest pilot, my two year old nephew gets another lesson from a sure win of 'Uncle of the Year'

We had a good flying day here in Johannesburg South Africa yesterday. I brought out my old Ringmaster S-1 with my ancient Fox 35 on it. It has no silencer, but we managed 5 flights with it. It somehow sounds louder since I started in e-stunt! It's now very tatty, so maybe it's time to recover the thing? I had 2 flights with it, and Percy Attfield, Roston Dugmore, and Theo Klynhans flew the other 3 flights. I also built a beginners Ringmaster Bipe quickly for a small electric system, and although it has yet to be painted, it flew quite well. I still have to get the rpm and prop right but I did manage to do 5 flights, so for the day, we did 10 Ringmaster flights. We would have managed even more but our club is part of a, R/C club and they held club meeting that took an hour out of our flying time. All in all it was a good day with lots of Ringmaster fun! Thanks to all that came out and shared the day, also to Nic van der Westhuizen for donating the Fox fuel.

Here in Japan, it was cloudy/fine and light breeze on 6 Oct, so I took part in a flying session of Akigase U/C Club (see photo).
I could not fly my Ringmaster S-1 because of the ground condition, too muddy to turn my wheelchair, but I enjoyed the flying session.
My S-1 was flown by 2 Top guns, Masaru Hiki and Kaz Minato, both are famous Japan F2B champs. They did very good patterns even though the model was not in perfect trim.

When I left at 11:45 a.m. the Balsa Beavers had completed
115 flights and were still flying. This includes the 75
flights yesterday at Burlington ON and 45 today at
Centennial Park.
It has been misting rain but the wind has been
acceptable.

Len Bourel beat John McFayden's 101 Lazy Eights
Record with 148.  That's a lot of eights in one flight!

I'm listing today's pilots in no particular order
and I apologize to anyone I've forgotten.

At the Flushing Meadow Park fun fly my grandsons Joe and Steve combined for 25 Flights on the PTK Ringmaster Trainer E2. I set the timer for only 1 minute flights as they are 9and  10 years old and only flying CL now for a couple of weeks.     But strictly speaking a take off combined with 6 laps and a landing constitutes a flight.  The best part of the event for them was that Steven won the 50/50 raffle. Neal Beekman put up one flight with his antique original Ringmaster powered by of course a Fox 35.  So we contributed 26 flights to the WW RM Day. I rebuilt the RM my son built in the 80's when he was 12 but didn't the engine on in it in time

Here in Eastern WA State we had my son jay, his son David, myself and good friend Dave Miller on hand fior our first try at the RM event.  We flew a total of 22 different Ringmaster flights.  What a great time having so much fun!

...8 full pattern flights with my Fox .29 1983 S-1. Nice turn out despite the drizzle at Flushing Meadows Park.

Two patterns in Classic (3rd place!!) and two patterns in Old Time (last place :( ).  The wind almost blew me out of the overheads on the second pattern in Old Time, so I chickened out and flew my regular plane for Profile, and for CLPA the next day.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

John --- Please accept my apology, I omitted your 2 flights from the FMP total ... make it 28 for the day from the New York Control Line Stunt Team.

Well Sunday was mucho better for me than Saturday even though it may have been windier.   Good thing I didn't hear the cell phone as Melvin was calling to tell me to cancel out.   I was dressed for the cold weather on Sunday and had taken some pain pills so I was going to fly.   Melvin's son DJ was there and they had already put in flights.   So instead of rolling out  my lines I flew Melvin's plane.   After we had some flights in I asked Melvin how close we were to breaking last years record.   So he put up a flight to break the record then I seen I had equilled last year and said I want another flight.   Anyway Melvin did one more and said he was saving his plane for the New Years Eve flying.   Then Jim Lee showed up and I pulled my plane out and we put Melvin's lines on it.   I looked at Melvin and said we could break a hundred flights pretty easy even though it was getting windier.   Last flight on the Ringmaster was by a gentleman who's name I can't recall.   The wind caught him as the engine ran out of fuel.   You ever see a plane go to the top of the circle with a dead engine.   Anyway the picture will show the results and I had fun.   Told Melvin the plane didn't matter as I didn't build it. LL~ LL~

First two pics is Jim and Melvin on Saturday.
DJ next pic on Sunday.
Then the two planes we used.
