Three guys that maintained the excitement we all had for model airplanes as kids well into their geezerhood are Larry Scarinzi, Ed Southwick, and Bob Hunt.

Nice Bob!  And a nice shot of Larry and Ginger.  Ginger has been holding Larry's planes forever!  Wonderful couple.

Terriffic Sparky.

Bob Hunt is a friend and one of my very favorite people to talk to.  Not only is he a prolific and knowledgeable story teller but it's fun to listen to stories like the "stuff in the trash can by Red Reinhart".

Talking to Bob is fun and always a learning experience because He's so very innovative and always has something "new" in the fire.

He's writing a book, I think, about some of these early stories and I for one would very much like to see it finished.

Thanks for this effort!

That was mighty fine. I liked the short format. Bob and I spoke on the phone once and he was for sure a cool guy.

I never met Red, but I can say that I have known Larry and Ginger  forever. Spending time with Larry is always a treasure. My son Craig and I went to a swap meet with Larry. On the line get a donut and coffee, Larry spent 10 minutes trying to talk the poor girl at the cash register down in price. Craig and I are sill laughing!

And yes, Larry is actually a very generous guy. When he had his bike shop he always gave his friends a huge break.

I also treasure Bob's friendship. Believe it or not he was once a kid. He shocked me one time while in his office at Flying Models. He showed me a picture of an airplane that he named after the "Clipper" that I flew for five years.

Larry and Bobby are national treasures.

I have no sound, but the pictures say a lot for me.   Will never forget the first time I met Larry.   It was the Grand Prairie Naval Air Station NATS in 1964.   Met a lot of my heroes that year.
