Well, here it is, my "whatzit called?" The real name is a misnomer, I've renamed it.

Not really a bad looking airplane after you get all the funky graphics off it and get rid of that hideous red nose. I spent hours with a heat gun, mitt and iron and even though the wrinkles are gone, it still looks pretty crude.  Never the less, it'll serve my purpose for playing with a 4 stroke on a minimum investment.

Oh yeah, new control system, CF pushrods and balljoints, pretty fair, the horns were useable. Also used the motor mounts that came with it. Weighs 64oz!! We'll see.

Agree, it looks much better. The trim you removed would come off in the first 10 flights anyway. How did you get paint to stick to that cowl, I tried everything I could think of and finally gave up.

If you have any run issues with that Saito start a thread in the 4 stroke forum and we will get it running great. I really liked my Score/Saito 56 it would power through wind many wouldn't dare to even fly in.

Thanks! Well actually I'm not sure the paint does stick though it went down nice and dried normally. I just wet sanded it with 400 shot on 3 coats of Duplicolor white, we'll see.

I may take you up on that, I flew this engine on a Score the belonged to a freind and I really liked it.

That looks pretty sweet and I really like the rename.....   I have one sitting in a box downstairs yet that I plan on using for an engine test bed for a DR 60.  Still trying to shake out the side mount vs. inverted mount question.  Don't be surprised if you see another that looks somewhat similar to yours in the future.  Did you beef up the landing gear blocks as well?
