3rd annual Las Vegas Stunt Challenge Nov. 9th & 10th
« on: November 12, 2019, 12:28:04 AM »
I want to thank every one who did come out to the contest. The weather was super nice high 70 degrees and very low moderate wind. You could not ask for a better weekend. We had 13 flyer's flying Classic stunt and Pampa stunt. The flying site was a large enought for 6 circles and parking. The Marriott Hotel for that price of $69.00 plus tax & resort fee was liked by those who stayed there. Kevin sold kits at low low prices and we also had several others selling control line itiems. Word is it was a very successful meet and everyone enjoyed their flying.

Reuben,

It was indeed a very enjoyable contest.  My compliments to you and all that worked hard to put this event on.  The weather and flying site were great. I’m already looking forward to next year.

Tim

Thanks again to Reuben and Steve.  My wife and I had a great time. The 5 star J W Marriott junior suite with Jacuzzi tub, walk in closet, french doors to patio, and free valet parking for only 69$ was amazing. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location is one of the most convenient in Las Vegas. Easy 15 min drive to anywhere on the the strip. We visited the Mob and Law Enforcement museum and the Carroll Shelby museum . If there was ever a wife friendly contest this is it.  Flying during the day and fun things to do with the wife at night. The attendance was on a par or better than most and I think next year will be even better. Thanks again for the open house and pizza party. The McBride family went out of there way to make this well organized and fun meet.  Congratulations .... Bob.    Forgot to mention the flying site. Large flat convenient and a few steps from the IKEA store with excellent cafeteria and restrooms.    Well done .....over and out

Hi Reuben,
You can do a long or short write up if you like and send your favorite pictures to Chris Rud. I'll message you with his email, can't think of it right now. Don't send pictures you don't want published because last time he published all my shots. My fault, I should have planned better.  By congratulations Bob, is that Bob Whitely, Bob Harness perhaps? Who won?

David thanks for the information. Bob Whitley is not flying right now due to his health issues. Bob Harness took second behind Lou Wolgast.
