Great Day! Doss Porter from Fresno California showed up early this morning and donated a Double VooDoo kit for us to raffle off. Then,
Stan Fronabarger showed up and donated one of his beautiful laser cut Flite Streak kits for us to raffle off. Then Andre Ming showed up, and donated a built Ringmaster wih a Fox .35, two slow combat ships, and a whole lotta other stuff (Lines, engine parts, engines, etc.)

We hadn't planned of having a raffle, but we are having one now! Thanks again to Doss Porter, Stan Fronabarger, and Andre Ming for the nice donations!

We had planned on having a pilot's meeting at 9 am, but since everyone wanted to fly, we postphoned it until 10 am. The only event we had scheduled today was 75 mph combat. We had 8 entries, and ran triple elimination. Arlene Mears was the event director. She ran a
tight ship. The winners were:  1. Andy Mears, 2. Bob Mears, and number 3. Lester Haury.

Randy Daily arranged for the generous donation of Food from Head barbecue from Ponca City OK. and Raisin Caine chicken from Tulsa.

Thanks to everybody!

Happening tomorrow are the three Old Time Combat events; Top Speed, 75 mph Old Time Combat, and Fast Old Time Combat.

At 11 am this morning I saw the Fox Manufacturing company's  Van turn into the driveway to Reeves Field.   It was the same full sized van that Betty Fox bought back in 1992. The story goes that Betty didn't like to fly commercially, so after seeing another similar van in Tucson at the VSC, She bought one. It had all the bells and whistles, and she traveled in it a lot.

Scott Fender, a controline stunt flyer owns it now.  He also brought an airplane that He built with Joe Adamusko's help; it was called the Seductress.

If you will look at the bottom two pictures in Elwyn Aud's post above, you will see the van and the Seductress.

Before He jumped in His pickup truck to go  back to California, Doss Porter donated a "Fresno Gas Model Club " coffee cup to the Gluedobbers.

We will mount it on our clubhouse wall in a prominent place.

Thanks, Doss !
