Congrats on the Spirit of 52 award Andrew. You deserved it hands down with a perfect rendition of Old Time Stunt. Your Spitfire ran perfect all day and you were the one to put it all together. It was a very fun contest. Pete and Dale always make the Old Time circle a hoot to fly on. I was glad to see so many old friends considering the weather forcast. Thanks to all of the Topeka club for giving us a great contest. Thanks Dave for the great pictures. Stunt people are the best.

Thank you Bill!  Really a lucky shot.  That's hard to get one right in front of you.  That's the one benefit of the 7.1.1 download- the picture taking is way faster.  Before there was a little delay.  The bad thing is I have to crop the heck out of the photos to try to get under 1000 kb.  Want to improve that by Nats time.  That's a nice Stega though.  And it won today.

You certainly "nailed" it with this shot.

Here is the man doing his thing,  Mr Dave Trible.   Second shot is a gentleman I've for I so long I can't remember, Jim Piscetto on the left with father and son Gary with Jerrod Hays,  Father is in the middle.   Someone mentioned rain, the last two are from Saturday morning.   Nothing like pitting a racing plane in a drizzle.

Thanks for the pics and info guys, looks like a great time was had.

Man, every time I see one I think about how great it would be to have a dedicated paved C/L circle to fly from. Our club has a constant struggle just to hang on to a grass site to use, you folks are lucky. y1

And the guys in Tuscon have worked hard to get what they have.   I don't live in Topeka, but we several individual working hard to keep what they have gotten up there.   I would love to be able to have at least one day a month to spend with just showing people how to fly CL.   Well I guess I will have to concentrate on Dave's circle here in the KC area as the Fleming Park circle takes about as much time to get to as Topeka.  15 minutes to the grass circle which is easier on planes.

Man, that was fun! This was my first C/L contest, and the competition in my class was extraordinary! It was a hard-fought battle for the position! I flew the Fancherized Twister with purple trim.

On Saturday, Rod and I may have surprised some people with our ability in the racing classes, and ourselves. That was alot of fun, too, for our first time in competition with that stuff. We're still kinda iffy about the results in Mouse; maybe we can find them here.

Thanks for having us up there, and putting on such a good contest!
I will build it. It's gonna be really difficult to find me with an ARF. I know every bit of my airplane!

Jared the cam ran unattended most all day.  Not sure how it all came out yet.  I will try to look at it the next few days.  Maybe I could burn off a copy.  Not equipped to upload it here.
Doug sorry I missed getting you and your plane up.  Your pictures were giving me the most fit squeezing down to upload.  I'll try to crop one again now.

Doug and Rod will be very competitive in racing if they stay with it.   They just need the practice as well as someone else I know.  Doug, better file that point off the 1/2A Cox spinner though.  Go to AMA site and study the rules.
