Looking towards Mount Suribachi, 1986. I had flown in for refueling and spent several hours walking along the beach. At the time of this photo I didn't realize it, but I was overlooking the approximate area where GySgt. John Basilone (Medal of Honor, Navy Cross, Purple Heart) met his fate-
