Title: 3/4" x 4' x 6' rubber mat...
Post by: Steve Helmick on April 12, 2017, 05:14:05 PM
Was down at Tractor Supply getting some stuff, and walked by a pallet of these rubber mats. I think they were called "Stall Mats"...for $35. One was almost torn apart, and wasn't chained & locked. Hmmmm. Looks like it would be nice to stand on when the floor is cold, etc., or maybe cut up and make seat cushions or something.

So, I asked if the torn one might be had at a screaming deal, and they guy said "take it, it's yours". So in the truck it went. Good thing I wasn't in a Prius. It was a bit of a rasslin' match for me to get it into the truck by myself, but I got 'er done. I thought maybe somebody else out there would find such an item useful. Usn's only gots one Tractor Supply in my 'hood, and this was the first time I've bought anything there. Not bad! A bit like Canadian Tire, actually.  H^^ Steve

Tractor supply have stores in Ontario. The TSC stores are a lot more manly than the "crappy tire " stores these days. Not much in the way of guy stuff left in the C T stores these days . Princess Auto is the best place for guy stuff up north . Sort of a mix of Harbor Frieght and a surplus store .

Cut a centre circle out of the excess, it should be heavy enough to be stable.

Good idea, Brad! Might also be a good target surround for the "trashcan combat" event.  n~ Steve

The pad is in the back of the pickup, for lack of a better place to store it for now. I crawled in there today, and found it was pretty darned nice on the knee bones. Better than the purpose-made rubber mat I had in the '68 GMC p/u, fo' sho'.  y1 Steve

Steve, Mark,
I've got ten of them in my driveway. Come get 'em! The wife used them for our dogs to do agility on for a while......
