The opposite is true for me, if it is going to blow it will be during my flight(s).

Thanks for the video!  Looks like a nice site but I'd bet it can be turbulent when the wind comes over those trees.  Reminds me of the old Topeka field.  Brutal at times.

Did anyone notice the bird, just as he starts the outside loops.

Yep....that was close.
Can a bird kill a shark ?.....I think so.... by hitting the shark´s lines.
If Iam not mistaken....the bird Bene is flying is a Shark from Yatsenko Bros. Ukraine.

Bene is one of the best.   Remember first time I seen him fly here in the states.   Still needs work on the horizontal intersections.  Also you guys are so lucky to have a field like that.

Rodrigo,
I really enjoyed watching Bene's flight.  I first met Bene at the WC in Hungary in 1986.   He's a real gentleman in my book.  Always a friendly smile and nice greeting.  I really remember the first time we met.  We were driving to the flying site from the hotel the first day we were in Hungary and while driving through the city, (Pecs) there was a car in front of us with a stunt plane hanging out in the air being carried to the site.  The car was much too small for his Cheyanne model.  When we arrived, out came Bene holding his model.  He quickly introduced himself and said he was from Brazil.  As I recall he made the trip the same way every day of the competition.  I think the last time I saw him was when we were in Shanghai in 1994.
