30th annual Lafayette Esquadrile Broken Arrow - Sept 16 & 17
« on: September 14, 2017, 04:26:06 PM »
Hello everyone,

the weather is going to be hot but clear skies and you will can see all of the improvements to the flying site including the pavement of the square pad and lots of cleaning. A BIG thank you to everyone that came out and helped clean up the site after the flood earlier this year.

We have lots of special things planned

https://lafayetteesquadrillecl.wordpress.com/lafayette-esquadrille-cl/control-line-contest-st-louis/control-line-stunt-pampa-scale-broken-arrow-st-louis/

1) Sunday we will honor Brian Harris by naming this years contest in his memory, there will be special lunch time gathering at the field
2) five CL handles will be raffled off to all registered pilots (free raffle) on Sat and Sun during lunch (you must be present to win)
3) We have special Concours and Spirit of 52' awards for this year, the materials for this these trophies were donated by Gary Frost

We are looking forward to seeing everybody there to help us celebrate the 30th annual of this contest

The flying site looks great and can't wait to get flying!

Would love to be there as I was truly planning on it.  Only thing I've done is go to a fun fly last weekend.  It was about a 70 mile round trip.  So far I've lost 30+ pounds and the doc is still taking urine and blood samples.   Have my trophy from the Ice-O-Lated sitting on the computer desk.   So you guy have fun and don't forget the pictures.
