Mother's Day
« on: May 13, 2012, 11:50:09 AM »
My mom passed several years ago but I still miss her every day.  For my friends in this great hobby we all share, I want to say to those of you who still have your mom with you, I hope she has a glorious Mother's Day and I know you will make it so for her.  For those of you like me whose mother's have passed on, please join me by lifting your eyes and voice unto heaven to thank God for the years you had with her and blow a kiss skyward for the Lord to give her....

Just got home from Church and the wifes favorite Chinese restaurant.   I too miss my Mother who was one of my stanchest supporters of model planes.   And the there was my Mother-in-Law who was my answering service most of the time.

So I hope all the Mothers Have A Great Mothers Day.    H^^

I cans till see my dear mother launching my Whatzit up on the hill back of the barn when I was home on leave from the Navy.  That cotton dress was snapping and whipping around and she never flinched.  What a mom!!!  I miss her terribly even though she's been home with Him since 2004.

I remember as a young teenager in the early 70's, crashing my last airplane.  I was out of funds and ideas.  Mom made a deal with me I could not refuse.  All I had to do was till up some untilled ground for her new garden.  Only about 30' x 50', how hard could it be?  Anyway, I did finish it.  She got a good deal and I got a Johnny Cashburn Miss Behave from Bluff City Hobbies in Memphis.

I do miss Mom and would gladly till her another garden.
