Title: .25 Choice For Brodak Magician
Post by: Joe Rice on November 09, 2011, 05:50:25 AM
I ordered a Brodak Magician kit and would like to power it with a modern 25.  As an alternative to the Brodak 25 I am considering the NV Engines (Norvel) 25.  Does anyone have experience with the NV 25?

Joe, no esperience with the NV .25. My Brodak Magician does very well with an la25, 3 oz. Hayes clunk on muffler pressure, apc 9x4 prop. Good luck , Ray

What is wrong with the Brodak .25?   To me it was the perfect match for the Original Magician kit.  Only reason I don't fly it now is my Grandson has latched on to it and says it is his plane.   One of my better scores is from that set up.  H^^

John,  I have no reason to believe the B25 would not be a good choice. Appreciate your positive comments on the B25.

If you already have a Brodak 25, go for it.  However, they are not available at this time, so if you don't have one, you will need to choose another.

The Norvel .25 will fly the Magician, but it doesn't seem there is much experience with.  The OS .25LA has shown good promise for flying these size/types of models.
