???i was wandering if anyone has tried the dle 20 cc gas engine for CL for 60-90 size models.i was throwing the idea around on trying one for a scale tbf avenger???I have used them on my 60-90 size rc birds with great success!any input?thank you Butch

CL scale has a limit of 1.25 cubic inches, when I convert the 20cc to cubic inches I get 1.22 cubic inches which would be legal. Most CD's would probably consider the gas engine has a 2 stroke engine which has the limit of 1.25 cubic inches.
The other limit to be aware of is the 20 lb limit, models can be flown that large but it does tend to be work out and make sure you have an adjustable line guide to keep the line tension within reason.
I have flown with a .90 2-stroke before, the sound of the gas engine would be impressive compared to the glow engine! My 1/4 scale Morrisey Bravo was 17 lbs and Grant's Spacewalker (1/3 scale) comes in at 19 lbs....no problems

Fred i think i will go for it,my projected weight is 13# with out a engine, TBF Avenger plans from Wing mfg is what i am going on scaled up to 70" wing span,should fly nice with a DLE 20 gas engine,

I flew a 19 lb B-25, with two OS45 FSR's, that belonged to someone else once. It proved to be a bigger workout than flying "Fast Rat". Definitely not for the meek or Old Guys (like I am now).
When I flew the thing I was in my late 30's and in great shape...wouldn't reccommend it to anyone that isn't. Yes the throttle helps but you still have to maintain enough speed to fly and it gets pretty hairy!
