And congratulations to Jim, Pete, Doug, Brian, James, Joan, Clint, Dennis, David, Jeremy, and whoever else I forgot for putting it all one. And in particular, racing against time to it done on Sunday to avoid the rain. As I was leaving, about 3 miles down the road, there was torrential rain.
We did run into a less-than-deal situation with contestant judging, where we interrupted the first round of Advanced for a long time while I went to fly my flight. That was unfortunate, we were only two from the end, but we determined to go straight through for the second round.
I was rather disappointed in the lack of locals - I know for certain there are many more people within easy driving distance. If we do not support our local contests, no one can complain about the fact that there aren't any anymore.

I saw a few of them showed up as spectators.

That Expert line up looks like a Nats entry. That's a tough crowd so an extra high five goes to Mr Cox.

Pretty good group, all right! This is not atypical for this contest, we have had the entire FAI team, that year's Top 5, and the impending world champion, with something like 25 Expert entries. They did a stand-up of the National Champions in attendance at one banquet, I think there were *10* of them.
