Title: 2022 Nats-Help Wanted
Post by: John Paris on February 13, 2022, 09:53:16 AM
Everyone,
This is probably as good a time as any to start getting people thinking about our 2022 Nats and what is needed to make it happen.  Below is what I know so far and I appreciate those that have stepped up to make 2022 happen:

Nats ED:  John Paris
Nats AED:  Michele Lee

Head Judge:  Mark Overmier (There are 8 judges so far-9 with Mark.  Would be good to have a couple extra)

Pit Bosses/Pull Test:  Need 2 (1 volunteer/flyer so far)

Appearance Judges:  Need 2 (Got them)

Weigh in/processing:  Need 2 (1 volunteer so far)

Tabulators:  Need 2 minimum (1 volunteer so far)

Runners:  Need 2 minimum (2 volunteers so far-always looking for relief runners)

Beginner's Stunt:  Mike Stinson (will need pit boss/pull test, tabulators, runner and judges) got judges

Intermediate Stunt:  Bob Brookins (will need pit boss/pull test, tabulators, judges, runner)

OTS/N30/Classic:  Mike Schmitt, tabulators (1 volunteer so far), pit boss/pull test, 4 judges (3 judges so far)

If anyone would like to volunteer for any of these events or positions please feel free to contact me via email or message through this forum or call or text me at 810.224.one-one-three-three.  Please leave a message if you call as I normally do not answer unknown numbers.  Hopefully this is early enough to get some interest and committments to make 2022 a success.

Doug,
Thank you for stepping up.  Weigh in and processing should entail getting the airplane's weight and adding it to a list.  Seems like there might be something else that happens, but it will not be too hard (even I have done it).

There’s a written process, which I think you followed.  Some find it stifling.

Bump to bring it back to the top as there are still slots to fill.  Look the openings over and see where you can help to keep the events running.

Thank you,
John

Bump to bring it back to the top.  Less than 4 months left.  Still some more slots to fill.  I see also that people are starting to register.

John, Kathleen can do tabulations in Intermediate if needed. I'm suppose to be judging in Intermediate too. You may have us down already. If you have tabulators for Intermediate,  Kathleen can do Beginner. Hope this helps free up Michelle and Tod to some extent.

Doug,
Good to hear from you again.  I do have you down with Steve Smith to judge Intermediate.  I will add Kathleen to Michele for Intermediate tabulation.  Is Kathleen also available for Classic/N30/OTS?

I will format the list I have and post it here so people can verify what I think they volunteered for and make adjustments as needed.
