Title: 2022 NATS-Almost here
Post by: John Paris on July 09, 2022, 07:59:02 PM
Everyone,
We are a week out from Beginners and Intermediate Eve for this year's NATS.  Probably a good time to update where things are going to take place and who is taking care of what as I know it today.  Attached you will find the latest version of the detailed schedule of events.  Please note that Mark Weiss will be holding the PAMPA meetings a little earlier on Wednesday and I am sure that he will have a lot to share.

We have only a single tabulator for the main event at this point and could use either dedicated or part time help in this area.  We are also asking at the local college for help.  Please consider helping out.  We are also light on dedicated pull testors, so we may need to police ourselves in the pits to get this done.

For the unofficial events (Beginner/Intermediate/N30/Classic/OTS) please register with the AMA when you arrive, there will be a general fee that the AMA wants ($10) and there will be an entry fee on the circle the event is taking place (TBD by the event director).  While preregistration has been encouraged, it is not required.  If you are registered for an official event, you will only need to pay the fee at the event circle.

Looking forward to seeing everyone soon.

John

Must have undone my response.  1pm to drop off the airplane and confirm your info and tentatively 3pm for the pilot's meeting.

Volunteers not registered to an event can register at the Farm House or HQ (not sure where they are doing check in this year) for free.  Not really a requirement but I think the AMA likes to know numbers of people attending the different events.

For Intermediate we will go for a 8:30 Entry Deadline, 8:50 Pilot's Meeting, and first Flight off by 9am.  Will strive to finish as early as feasible to head-off any changes in wind.

Is there a contingency plan in case it rains on Monday for appearance judging?

Matt,
I do not have anything nailed down as of yet but will have something in place if it comes to this.
