And I spy Ty's gorgeous Colossus. Only issue with the pic it is only the top. Doesn't show all those red/white checkerboard squares on the bottom of the wing.

Hey guys. Great contest. Laid back and at one time they were flying in light fog near the trees. Surreal. No wind to speak of and that big Colossus needs wind. I found out the hard way. You gents need to come to this event and really learn stuff. Plus the lunch is a pure delight.
The number of contestants was down by about 7. Usually there is at least 4 in each event and up to 12. Old age, surgery, death, jobs, other contests, etc,. kept it down. D>K
Enjoyed having and seeing you again Ty. Thank you for the surprises! Looking forward to ElDorado.

Thanks for posting the scores James. I think we were only down about four from last year, still a good turn out. Were kind of surprised when Jim Lee showed at the "GUMBO PARTY at Brent and Jackie Rogillio's home on Fri. night. Then Jim had another surprise for us in telling us his son Tod LEE and his wife, Michelle, would be coming in too! Jim sure likes the jambalaya that we serve for lunch on Sat. I thought it was one of John Blanchard's cousins best creations yet. It was really good!
Todd brought his 2019 Nat's plane to compete with in PA. It is a semi-scale P-51B with an EVO-61 engine. Todd finished in 6TH place at the Nat's out of 5TH spot by 1/4 point. Fit and finish are superb and it flies and runs as good as it looks. I think it was on the front row in appearance judging at the Nat's. I have to say that his plane was in the company of some other excellently finished planes of Frank McMillan, Richard Oliver, John Cranfill, John Hill, Dale Gleason, Jim Lee, and Joe Gilbert. The flying was very competitive in all events. The Expert classes were real shoot-outs. I have to complement Steve Millet and John Blanchard for doing an excellent job in judging the Expert events. They were fair, impartial, and very realistic in their points evaluation. When several Expert competitors tell the CD his judges have done an excellent job then that is kind of icing on the cake for a good contest. Brent Rogillio ran a very good and well organized contest. In addition, the MMG gals and some others did a great job of keeping things going.

It was great getting back out on the road to fly at a contest (having not done so for the past couple of years) and the Zachary contest was sure a great place to go. The flying site is awesome, the Bi-liner's club members put on a great contest. The "Cajun Cuisine" was very traditional and delicious. The weather was perfect, almost too perfect...if only my flying was as good as the weather was. Great contest!
