You and everyone who contributes are in the 17 categories. I am working on the icon and they will all switch at the same time from 16 to 17. If you donated to the 17 campaign please post here so I can find you for the upgrade.

I actually like it-- but I personally have a ----(to me) historical angst on stolen valor...

backstory...

I am in the minority that thinks BURNING the Flag is Protected by 1St amendment

NO I DO NOT LIKE SEEING IT...but I am true to my oath...

I also happen to not care if some IDJIT wears a Medal of Honor he (or she) did not have awarded (( this is NOT a WON medal IMO))

You Robert, I assume, can relate...

ANY ass hole who pretends to be something they are, or were not---for $$$$ gain...deprives some other deserving veteran of the resource..this angers me greatly...

That all said... I am not, by just supporting YOUR wonderful site, worthy of a distinguished Flying Cross

While I do understand your point of view but this is not the first medal I have given out. 2015 was a navy cross ribbon. With the alterations on it does not represent the true US medals. But I will see what I can do

Just because the distinguished flying cross might be by my name, I would not think is was mine.  I know I didn't earn it.  I sure have respect for those who did earn one.  The distinguished Flying Cross society has many names of those who have earned it.  I see it as a reminder of those who were extraordinary enough to earn one.  Like a flag out on memorial day - respect for others.  If it causes problems, how about a Beech model 17 Staggerwing icon?

By the way is there some way to designate our veterans on here even though Uncle Sam or the recruiter didn't want my services.  I watched most of my classmates and friends get to serve and can't thank them enough.
