Thank you guys, but Brent Rogillio and you guys in La. deserve most the credit for making things happen. Brent has been the contact guy with the park system and his main contact for BREC has been Justin Smith. Justin has been very helpful and very influential with the BREC board of directors in re-locating our flying site. Justin Smith, asked us to help him find another park site that would suit us. So, we did some research of all of the parks(180) in the BREC system and came up with the Doyle's Bayou Park site. He took our choice to the board and the rest is history. We were fortunate to get an MOU agreement to provide help with grounds up keep. Municipalities don't normally do such things, least not in Baton Rouge. It did help that our club (Baton Rouge Bi-Liners) is now an AMA Charter club. Being a chartered club part of a large national organization helped establish credibility. This park is probably the most beautiful park in the system-over 100 acres of large open fields, small lakes, and forests. Location is a few min. from Zachary, LA. which has motels, numerous restaurants, Wally World, H-D and a few strip malls.
