Fred, my son and I got to see several P-51's and Fifi in July of this year at Reading, PA. It was unfortunate that you were not allowed to get near the aircraft. It was certainly neat to see it flying and it did do a lot of flying. I saw it take off numerous times through the day. I did get some up close time with some B-25's. We also got to talk to the pilots and the maintenance crew. Someone commented on the oil leaking onto the ground. The pilot stated, " If it ain't leaking, it ain't flying". The guys in the pits just said we use the oil spots to mark it's parking spot. Two B-17's and a B-24 kept Fifi company during the day. Ken

I remember that year.  I think I can name most of the guys watching.

Spent several hours out there getting lots of pictures, the P-51 and B-29 both flew. Great to hear the sound of the Merlin and Radial engines
