2015 GSSC; Exciting(?) Developments
« on: October 15, 2015, 08:56:46 AM »
I was cruising into the 2016 GSSC (this weekend!) feeling good about have all my ducks in a row. Then I got an email that suggests Dave Fitzgerald and Orestes Hernandez may both show up and fly along with Paul Walker! How good can a contest get to have the entire US World Team in attendance! Then I got two other emails the same day; one of my Classic judges has suffered a serious leg injury and cannot judge; then the other email that informed me one of my Expert judges has a serious family emergency and cannot attend. And the beat goes on . . .

So I'm now searching for suitable replacements. If you're in the neighborhood, drop on by; could be an exciting weekend.

I wish I could be there.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

Me too. I'm babysitting the ball & chain, after she had 12" of colon removed 7 days ago. And I've been struggling with a bum knee myself...went today for first step toward getting it fixed, if it's fixable. Getting old isn't for sissies. Let's hope somebody steps up and fills your vacant judging slots.  H^^ Steve

Brian

I am assuming it is the other Classic Judge who has suffered the leg injury, as Joan is sitting beside me, and she appears alright to me! Or was I judging Classic? Getting old really sucks...

We made it to Redding today.  Long drive.  Should arrive noon'ish on Friday.

Let me know how the Classsic judging search is going when we arrive.
