Title: 2014 rule proposal
Post by: RC Storick on January 24, 2014, 02:31:15 PM
Due to the passing of so many that are close to us I have imposed a new rule for 2014. You are not allowed to die no exceptions. Doing so you will forfeit pattern points and landing points and Be DQ'd from any following events.

All kidding aside this is becoming way too common amongst us and I hate hearing of this.

So true!  We're disappearing at an alarming rate lately.

I hope to wake up tomorrow...and so do the rest of us.

Well, if you don't wake up, you'll be the first to know!  OK, I promise not to bite the big one this year. In the past two years, I've lost my younger brother Jim, my Mom and the host of friends that have "Gone West." It's been a difficult time, and just makes me want to do something about my job situation so I can have a bit more of my life back before it's all gone. So many models to build and fly, and still have about six motorcycles to restore and race a bit. I'm not even close to being done!
I guess it's a blessing and/or a curse of having the internet around. It has made the world smaller, brings all of us closer and easier to stay in touch with. I might not have ever met a lot of you if it hadn't been  for this goofy keyboard. The curse part would be the ease of hearing of others passing so quickly.
Everyone stay happyn and healthy this year!
     Type at you later,
   Dan McEntee

Here's a "yes" vote on the new rule. I hope to be sniffing glue, dope, and castor fumes for quite some time yet.

Yes, there are way too many of us going on to what is supposed to be a better place.   But, let me say I am still breaking a record,  each day I wake up I am another day older.

Not that I have any desire to violate the proposed rule if adopted but has any thought been given to what sanctions to impose on violators.

Wish it could be different, but the scripture says we all must die, and then be judged by God after that.  (Hebrews 9:27)  Aren't we glad Christ died for us so we could know heaven!

It isn't only stunt flyers.  I keep losing my friends from all walks of life.  But, realistically, my friends tend to be near my age:  the age where the actuarial charts end.
