This weekend is the twenty something annual Topeka Memorial weekend contest. Hope to see many of you there. Early weather forecast looks to be sunny, low 80s and, sorry, windy.
Sunday is stunt day. The winning strategy is to give your best flight on the first round when winds will be lighter then sit tight and watch the scoreboard.
I will be there Sunday and will do a truncated web cast of the event. I'm checking the new 4G equipment and a new portable power bank ( supposed to give me ten hours of broadcast power) before the Nats to see if anymore upgrades are needed. Like to do live video at some point but that's a year or two away.
Looking forward to seeing you all!

How about coming on Saturday and enjoying the racing? Lots of excitement there.

Bill I hope many do. For me, I'm in a retail business which means it took Majestic Providence to just get the one day off on one of the biggest sales weekends of the year. I have to request this off 90 days ahead....Hope you stick around Sunday.

Elwyn and I are planning to be there saturday morning. It's a 4 1/2 hour run from Tulsa to Topeka.

I will be there saturday to see everyone, but my Grandaughter is getting married on Sunday so I won't be there. I sure will miss the flying on Sunday, but then I haven't flown enough this year because of the weather scare anybody anyway. See ya all tomorrow.

Hope you all have a safe, fun contest. No inverted touch and go demonstrations from me this year! I'm just not ready for flying season yet, but hope to spend some time working on some airplanes this long weekend. If I'm lucky I'll be ready for Bricjhaus' contest in August!
Good Luck and Have Fun,

Well, Sandy the poodle and I just got home from a fantastic day. Cloud cover most of the day. Did not dampen the racing tho. Bill Lee is racing champion by taking first in three events. Had six entries in SSR. Very close racing. Pit stops were the deciding factor in most of the races. I help time and count laps on all the races along with Bruce Rieck and Sandra Lee. Jim Lee the contest director will probably have all the results after the weekend. Need to go get the old time plane loaded up for Sunday.
