I AM TAKEING A POLL TO SEE IF THERE WOULD BE AN INTEREST IN HAVEING "PROFILE STUNT" AT THE 2011 NATS.
JUST A "YES", OR "NO" WILL DO. NO NEED TO TAKE IT ANY FUTHER THAN THAT FOR THE MOMENT.

Yes.
I think this can work, if judges can be found. Perhaps judges experienced in local contests, who are intimidated at the prospect of judging in more major NATs events, would feel o.k. judging profile. Of course many folks tied up in Advanced and Open judge on a local level, but are focused and practicing prior to the flying off the L-pad.

In would have phrased the question thusly:

"If I run profile stunt at the 2011 Nats, will YOU enter?"

Then the number of "YES" responses (assumed to indicate an honest promise to enter) would determine if it's a viable idea. Majority rule means NOTHING in such issues. All that matters is getting enough entries to run the event,

I am glad Allen has ambition

One more grass event seems fitting considering the condition of the grass fields many years running. I did come to the Nats with ambition at one point but became a member of the impromptu crowd to easily for my liking. I can practice at home and be there in 2 1/2 hours and a couple of degrees altitude...for the IC susceptible.
