2009 Mass Cup day 1
« on: September 06, 2009, 01:59:34 PM »
First day of Mass Cup '09 is complete. We flew OTS and Classic. I've been pulling judging duty and did not have the time to take too many pictures. So here's what I've got:

1) Rick Campbell's Saturn. Power is PA61 on a pipe. This plane presents extremely well in flight and Rick flies it very well!

2) Don Herdman's new Classic legal P-47. Powered by LA46, it flies really well.

3) Don Herdman with his own Classic design P-47.

4) Three stooges: Don Herdman, Rick "50 cent" Campbel and Dick Woolsey  LL~

Was that a first!? Wow, congrats!  #^
I wouldn't rest on your laurels though. Don is a good pilot. He will make your work for your wins! Better get that Oriental Plus finished up for the next season! You will need every advantage you can get!

I know he's a good pilot, but he got back at me by beating me in OTS by a slight margin of about 2 points.  And Steve congrats on your Mass Cup win!!! You looked about as surprised as me when I won it last year.

And Steve, you got any pictures from Day 2?

We did, and need to go to grandpa's house to post them, which I think I'm heading over today.
