When I need Spruce I go to a local specialty wood supplier and he cuts the sizes I need for me.  I buy the blank and then I pay for the cutting but I get the exact size I need and I pick the blank to be cut up.  This way I select how straight the gain is.

Check Aircraft Spruce & Specialty.  I just got some 60" pcs of 3/16.  They can probably hook you up.  When you order wood from their website you can type in special instructions, lengths, widths, etc.

Gil: Call Tom Morris and if he doesn't have it he can CUT IT!  As with any wood...you need 20 pcs.  buy 50 pcs. so you've got a selection and future inventory. Tom has cut me 48" 1/4" stock and it's beautiful!    Regards/ Bill Allen
