I have talked to some and they are having a problem I do not know whats up with it, It works fine on this end. As shown here

Way more than 15 lines and no trouble. I still am looking into this situation. I will keep you posted!

I have had the same problem numerous times and the quick fix is to just up the nitro a bit or run a hotter plug.....

Using Windows XP, with all the MS updates! Could it be the AMD v.s. Intel processors?

No. Is this with Firefox, IE, Opera? I am having no problem and haven't seen it, using Safari/Mac OS 10.5.7.

Using IE 8, with an AMD Athlon XP 2800+, 2.09 GHz. Memory is only 512 MB, but I doubt that would make a difference.

My guess is that something on the user end is the problem, I have checked the data base and forum program functions and there are no errors.

Here is a copy and paste from an earlier post:

In addition to appearance points, I believe Originality points should be added. From my eye, originality points should be added because being at contests and seeing videos, many planes are starting to have the same sort of asthetics. With originality points I think it will bring a lot creativity in flyers. Looking at plans and photos from the 50s and 60s and 70s, not many airplanes looked alike. Today they are starting to have the same sort of looks.

I think 10 originality points would be good enough. These points should be separate from appearance points. 0 originality points would be flying somebody elses airplane or flying an ARF or ARC.

1-4 originality points would be just building a kit or scratch from published plans without modifying anything.
5-7 originality points would be building from their own design or taking a kit and putting a twist on it.
8-10 originality points would be building something from their own design, that looks very radical and something they haven't seen before.

These points would be based on what the judge has seen and putting down on the score sheet, how original and different it looks to him/her.
I got this far, this line before it started going up and down. I found now past this point if you hit enter, it goes to the next line, and then if you hit it again, it is like a tab. 15lines, this line here is doing the up and down thing.

Hi Bob

I have tried it on 9 computers and get the same on all of them using IE, at 3 differant locations.
Firefox doesn't seem to do this, just IE 8.0
The text will jump up and down and when you go to the next line..after about 15 lines, you have to toggle the arrow on the side back down to see what you are writing.
It may be a bug in one of the updates to IE 8.0

It seems to be related to IE 8. I experienced the same problem as described (text jumping up and down.) I was able to fix the problem by running the Stunt Hanger site in "Compatibility View."

Go to Tools and toggle on "Compatibility View." That seems to fix it (at least on my machine.)

Compatibility mode works, I switched over and I don't have the line problem. This post is... 162 lines long, and absolutely no problem whatsover when it is in compatibility mode

Compatibility view helps IE 8 play well with older (I mean classic) web sites. To run in Compatibility View all the time, go to Tools -> Compatibility View Settings and make sure "Display all websites in Compatibility View" is selected.

Thank you for your investigative work. I forget some things and I went to my tools bar and it was already checked. Thats why I had no problems.

No problem. I work in the IT field and just noticed that I was having the same problems others described. It only took about two minutes to figure out the fix.

BTW, I was at the NATS for several days helping my brother (Scott) in Advanced (I'm not yet ready for prime-time

). I thought your Viper looked great.

Could be a Winders problem or a limit the ISP sets (though I can't imagine that). Could very well be an IE8 problem. I use Firefox or Seamonkey and it works fine. Even seems to work fine in Epiphany.

Hi Randy,

I have been running versions of IE for years with very few problems; a few weeks ago I accepted an update from IE7 to IE8 and the problems started. So I called Microsoft support and told the guy to get me back to IE7 where I was having no problems. He did everything he could to try to get me to allow him to troubleshoot my setup and I finally told him firmly to get me back to IE7, which he did. The problems went away. So much for the "upgrade" to IE8.

Just ditch it completely and use Firefox. Explorer has always been a train wreck

Yeah! Microsoft...that seems to happen a lot, put it out and lets US finds the bugs on it.

Not IE*, but I had a problem with a machine using XP. Installed SP3 then started having problems. The Microsoft tech support forum suggested removing SP3. I did that, no more problem. If uninstalling on VISTA doesn't work then there is a freebie called "REVO UNINSTALLER" (I located that via the techsupportforum) that worked to remove a pesky OFFICE 2007 trial version I couldn't uninstall.

MSOFT won't provide free support for their products, but that forum seems to be moderated by MSOFT techies.

Thanks for the heads up guy's. I went ahead and switched to compatibility view. I'm running XP with SP3 and IE8. So far it has worked pretty good. IE8 did take some getting used to. I tried firefox a few years ago at the recommendation of a local PC maintenance guy. I had so many system issues that I went back to IE.

In my opinion XP service pack 3 is way better than service pack 2. I did have the hard drive wiped and then reinstalled XP and SP2 from discs before downloading the SP3 upgrade. Wiping the hard drive got rid of all the promo junk that was just taking up space as well as other clutter that had accumulated. We try to back up the important stuff on discs. We back up the super important stuff with paper and ink. At work, I have some of my handier data base queries written out so that if they get deleted I can put them back in without having to start from scratch.

As far as free support from MicroSoft is concerned, back when I updated to SP2 I was on a really bad dial up connection. I contacted MicroSoft and they sent me SP2 on a disc for free. I didn't even have to pay postage. I have been dissatisfied with some of the phone support from them, but have never been charged for it. I hope some bot doesn't read this and start charging me.

Anyhow maybe that's enough musing to see if I'm past the line limit problem.

On a totally different note, I haven't been able to get my son's xbox 360 networked to my PC so that he can use a pass through internet connection. I currently do not have a router.
