From the magazine plane. It wasn’t the first engine tried. First one wouldn’t do it. This is a strong engine.

I vaguely remember this from a few years ago.  Even then it reminded me of when models were published not for competition but for fun.   Just think to be able to say you flew a 727.  Will have to check AMA Plans to see if available.

I'm amazed that a Cox reedie could go so well!  The plane looks too big.  The lines look too long!

I suspect it is very very light.

It isn't super light. Not a real big wing but is flat bottom -sheeted top and covering below. Fuselage is hollow.
Again , it's a strong engine. The first choice engine wouldn't fly it.
Lines are 42' 008 steel.
It lands better on the pavement at Eldorado.
It looks good in the air. He built it because he had six wheels he wanted use on something.
Tail number N844AA. Now we know what happened..........
