Its a tall order to capture Tom Wardens craftsmanship. I have attempted to make as close a rendition as I can. Here are a few pics. If you notice the difference in paint schemes there is the red band between flaps and stab. Mine will be a black band.

DITTO...DANDY....DANDY! WOW!!! CLP**

Robert - Looks great!!!! CLP** Man, you are fast, AND good!
Question - Which version of it is yours? I see it's got a few small changes from the one in the pic (full span flaps, larger elevator, rudder, etc.) Also, it's hard to see, but is it my imagination or is the original elevator swept forward at the outmost tips almost like a balanced elevator? Also, one last one, I can't see your lead outs in your pics, did you do the over/under or side by side? Just curious. Super cool plane!

Which version of it is yours? It's Mine

Lead outs are side by side. Via the Bob Hunt method
The only thing this plane has in common with the original is the Name and Paint scheme. The rest is re-designed around a pipe engine and modern numbers. 62 inch wing span.

Beautiful plane !!
You work so fast that you could get a side job working for Santa, although you would probably put several hundred elves out of work.

Basswood and brads

I see. Been watching Bob G do that forever.
I actaully do the basswood part as well, then I tap all the holes for 4/40 and take a nylon 4/40 screw and drill a tiny hole through it and it is the guide instead of a brad. I used to watch Bob Wear our brads or the holes and he would have to rig them to stay in position so I went with the nylon screw option. So far, many many years on some of the setups I have that way, and no wear outs. I know I have 1000+ flights on one of them.
That is a nice plane!

Wow! Looks awsome as usual Sparky! I'm just curious, why a black fuse band on yours instead of red? I could see it as a good idea to differentiate yours from the original in photos.

As a memorial a black band is worn. However I have sense scrapped that idea and went with black USA in between the flaps and stab.
