"Wanted : Firebaby parts"

Hello ,
I have wanted a Firebaby for years to collect .I had one as a kid for 3 seconds after my dad let it go on my first flight when I was about 6 years old in the very early 1960's .It went straight up and down into the concrete parking lot ! I was pretty scared I think ,and Now mad ,I didn't get to learn U Control with it then .Of course I did later and really was good at it .Then Dad taught me to fly R/C as an early teen .Got back into flying R/C about 17 years ago when I started my family .I have bid on ebay for many of these over the years and have never been able to afford what they went for .

Does anybody have parts or incomplete kits that I can make a plane with ?
I had the plastic fuse design but would possibly consider the early version made of balsa .Plans anyone to scratch out an Early version ??

Thanks for any help or direction in my quest .Still looking for info if anybody has some to share or knows about a Red Plastic fuse ,and other parts for it . I will repro a tail and wing if necessary to get closer if I have to .
Thanks to everybody and keep on sending it until otherwise notified .
Steve

Hey Ty ,
What I have told other contacts so far  that only have a few various parts is :
I'm trying to build a Red plastic Fuse plane . I need every thing ,but if
I  had a Fuse only , I could repro a set of wings and stab for it ,if need be .

I know the early plane had a balsa fuse and it could be made easily,
especially if I had full size planes or drawings ,but I had a Red plastic
fuselage plane as a kid ,and that's what I'm trying to get again .

I have had an offer to buy a Black plastic fuse complete NOS kit ,but I'm
holding off ,to find a red one if possible .I may have to pony up for it
and  maybe make a copy of an early plane that's built and save the kit .I have
also  located a few parts for the early plane ,ie metal firewall ,bellcrank
,horn and  Rudder .Also a NOS in the package stab but he hasn't replied to me getting
them after he said he had them .

I now also have another lead for most of the parts to build a Red plastic Fuse plane ,but it's a litle steep .
I may have a plane or parts being shipped this week .
I will see when the package gets here what he had . If you could trace out the wing ,stab ,and fuse of your
early plane ,I would be very appreciative .If you had the metal bell crank and horn also to copy .
I can make all the aluminum parts for the early plane ,except possibly the metal wing brackets (at least easily )
An out line of the canopy and metal firewall would be great too. Anyway you can do this ? Let me know and I can
send you a personal address .

So ,There is no doubt that I will eventually get a plane or build something .
I didn't even care if I fly it ,as this is more a nostalgic trip to my  past  ,so long ago ,when I started flying models .
 Regards ,
 Steve

Steve I may have most of the parts your looking for. We've talked and I've been looking, so far ONE Red Plastic fuse, one wing, one cowl is what I have. HOWEVER, I'm still looking. I did find one Whole Firebaby that I didn't know I had. It's in fair condition. Give me a few more days....I'll go to storage..

Steve,

It didn't sell!

Make him an offer. I've bought bunches of stuff (reasonable) that way.
