Title: "Super" Dave Siegler -what a super nice guy!
Post by: Paul Taylor on July 24, 2010, 08:56:38 PM
Dave is part of the Cheezehead gang and after our fun fly this past Monday someone left a ARf Flite Streak on the field. I sent out an email to the gang and Dave said it was his. Well he stopped back by to pick up the Flite Streak and handed my nephew Tyler a Mongoose plane, a set of lines and handle. Just add fuel.

You will not meet a nicer guy!

Thanks Super Dave!

Dave is one of the most unselfish guys I know. He always is trying to help or share in whatever way he can. He pushed me to fly his Bi-Slob because he knew how jittery I have been about trying to fly inverted. He told me this time he didn't care if I piled up the Bi-Slob, he just wanted to see me get used to doing lazy eights with something slow enough to get used to it. I managed to do about ten of them with Dave in the circle keeping me calm. They were not pretty, but now I have taken the first big step thanks to him. Paul (Rootbeard) and Chris (Harleyman) have also helped me getting over this hump that I had built up in my mind. Thanks to all three of you in helping an old duffer trying to be a kid again.

Gee now I feel embarrassed :-[.  I can only pass on what others taught me.

A lot of people helped me.  Gave me airplanes, engines, tools, took time to work with me.  And many are gone and I can't thank them.    I still have a long way to go, but I can pay back a little.

I would do anything to help a Jr get started.
