Greetings fellas from S.W.France.
Thought I'd let you know that Just Engines of the U.K are offering for a short period only 'SHORT ENGINES' on some of their range of ASP Engines.
NO carb' or Silencer .
These are at great prices too . I've just ordered an ASP 36 , which is the same as it's twin brother the Magnum 36.
I'll be installing as usual my own Venturi , NVA and Tongue silencer.
I think this is the first time a vendor has offered 'short engines' ? Anyway I'm delighted so well done Just Engines !
Just in case you've never found them on the 'net they are at : www.justengines.co.uk
They have a dead easy ordering process and their service is great . End of plug !
Great forum as ever ,
Kind regards from the French sticks ,
Robin.

I very interesting supplier ! Also some good prtices that might be USA-competative, even with the added shipping.
One point I noticed - NO Irvine 35 or 36 !! I wonder when, if ever, this enigne was offered.
-
Irvine offered a "36" which has now been upgraded to a "39"...still in the 36-37 helicopter engine size.

I wonder how that ASP 0.52 S Short engine would do as a stunt engine?
And not sure on the cost... can someone translate: Price: £65.99 (Including VAT at 17.5%)

About $121.10

I make it about $103.00 at todays rate! (hope that's right?) plus P&P?
Cheers Neville

If it's exported, knock off the V.A.T.
-
Minus the VAT (value added tax) makes it about $85.00 + P&P!! That sounds like a good deal? ;D

So anyone know if the engine would make a good stunt engine? More power then a ST .51? Lighter?

Leonard Neuman wrote some about the Magnum XLS .52, which is the same engine, pretty much, tho the head looks different. It's a little heavier than the earlier Magnum XL .53 (which Leonard tunes up with a blocked boost port and blueprinting, venturi, etc.), the NV is in a bit different location, but otherwise similar.
I weighed my G.51 and XL .53 a couple weeks ago, and the Magnum was 15 grams lighter. Right now, I'm not sure if that was the basic engine, or included the mufflers. My G.51 uses a Randy Aero tube muffler, and the Magnum a Big Art tube muffler. The Magnum XLS .52 is about $90 from Tower or Hobby People. D>K Steve
