Hello To ALL,

Just a REMINDER that "The Joe Ortiz Memorial Stunt Bash" for 2008 will be held at "Flushing Meadows Corona Park" this Sunday, September 28th at the Park Flying Field.

The following is the FLYER I sent out along with directions to the Park.

I also have it on "Good Authority" from both Joe and GOD that the rain there expecting on Friday and Saturday AM will be out of here and on Sunday we'll have "Blue Skies" and "Light Breezes".

Just a reminder to all my fellow "Stunt Flyers" that Our Memorial Joe Ortiz Stunt Bash will be contested on Sunday the 28th of this month. The Pilots Meeting will be at 9AM with the flying immediately following.
 
We will be flying all PAMPA Classes, including "Beginner Stunt" with "Beautiful Plaques" to 3 Places and "ARF Stunt" also (JSO/All Classes Combined). There will be Bonus Points awarded to the Intermediate and Advanced Flyers, a handycap system, to equalize the playing field a bit and make those Experts work a little harder.
 
There will be a "Concours Award" voted on by the Pilots present and "The Joe Ortiz Memorial High Point" plaque awarded to the winner of the "Fly Off" between the Intermediate, Advanced and Expert Winners.
 
We will have a "Porta Potty" for your convenience and comfort and yours truly will be on hand to CD the festivites and keep you all laughing. Look for the guy with the "Beanie Hat" and the "Big Smile on His Face", that would be me. Come one and all to have some fun and enjoy the "Glorious Flushing Meadows Lake" view along with a Kiddee Park just up the road from the field for the youngsters or oldsters. We will also have a 50/50 Raffle to help offset your GAS BILL. We will also have a Raffle for a "Beautiful Brodak Pathfinder ARF"

The field is located on the south bound service road of the Van Wyck Expy. between the Long Island Expy. and Jewel Ave. which is the continuation of College Point Blvd. south.
 
From the G.W.B. take the Major Deegan Expy. south-I87 to the triborough bridge, follow signs to Queens. Once over the bridge you will feed onto the Grand Central Pky. east. Take G.C.P. to the L.I.E. exit east bound, stay on right, take ramp to Van Wyck Expy.south as you come off the ramp, the park is on right first right turn you can make, you will see the field on your left once inside thepark.
 
From the Whitestone Bridge, once over the bridge bear right onto the Whitestone Expy. Stay to your left to the Van Wyck Expy. south. Once you are past yhe L.I.E. The park exit will be on your right,Flushing Meadow,Corona Park, turn right into park,field is on your left.
