The VSC concept has been so successful, I'm wondering just when someone will duplicate a VSC in the (real) west, or NW? CA generally has good weather from spring through fall, and the NW has a few good days in July. We have the NW regionals, but weather is sometimes a real problem in May.
I attended about 15 of the VSCs, (including the first one at Whittier Narrows) but Tucson is simply too far from Eugene, Oregon.

Wx isn't bad. Temps today maxed out in the mid to high 60's. A little wind, about 10 mph, came up in the afternoon. A few clouds came in and sprinkled us lightly, then went away.
I made up lines for the Torino, and flew it's first flight today. Bart flew it's second flight. The wings were level both upright and inverted. Looks like there's some potential there once the engine runs ar settled in. #^ H^^

Isn't getting to VSC that early , tuning in your models and practicing against the rules? Wasn't this supposed to be a fun event? Where did we go wrong? Andy Borgogna and I will be there Monday with a respectable evening of practice, at best, nothing to excess, and isn't there a 6-pack remedy aleviate any evil intent?

Hey VSC is one big love in for Old Time and Classic planes. The reason some of us get there early is to put first flight on new planes. Then there are the ones that do not like to lose, like Billy "Mr. VSC" Werwage. He does make it look so easy when he flies. Having fun, DOC Holliday
