Gil - I think I have a set of plans. If so, you can have them. I'm in CA now but I'll be home tomorrow. Send me a reminder e-mail.

If I do, they'll be older plans....how can I tell exactly which set? The one I have is a Blueprint I believe, its in a stack of old plans....I'll look. [wingspan?] H^^

I may have that in PDF format but am unsure what sets the 57 apart.  I have 3 or 4 Noblers that all look the same to this untrained eye! LOL H^^

HI Glenn,

Other than a general overall look, the '52 Nobler (sometimes called "original") is different in almost everything.  WS, root rib, airfoil, wing area, wing asymmetry, moments, flap sizes, etc., are different from the " '57 " Nobler which simply refers to the year Top Flite introduced the kit which came in a box with a "Green" label....   hence the term '57 Green Box Nobler.

The first published Nobler also differed from George's actual planes since he was several hundred miles away from the planes when he did the article and drew the plans from memory.

Generally the '57 Nobler seems to be easier to trim than the earlier versions.

Big Bear

P.S. Gil, Pat Johnston did a beautiful set of plans for the '57 Nobler in CAD including all parts.
