Wouldn't 2-wheel gear make it ineligible for Nostalga 30?

Where did you fit a 4 ounce tank on a Flight Streak?

We fly for fun only, no comp. I just do not like a single gear.

Then if you want nice looking takeoffs and landings, putting a two wheel gear onto the thing does a world of difference.

Brodak makes a tank that will fit.  I think the 3 1/2 oz profile wide wedge will work.  You will have to revent so that pick up tube is flush with the front of the tank.  Move the engine as far forward as reasonable.  Kraft Hayes makes a 3 oz plastic tank, but I think this is no longer available.  The Hangar 9 PT 19 CL will fit if you have one it is about 2 7/8 oz.

Brodak 38 Special aluminum gear works well and is pretty light.  You will need a spacer to keep the screw heads from puncing a hole in your tank.

I bought some of those from Brodak this spring, so they were at least available then.  Check their catalog.

Did you get to fly against Mr. Grondal and his modified Nobler or Mr. Gabris with his "Master"?Bill

Hi Bill. We'd have to check the entry list, but I'm sure the answer is yes. But they may not have noticed me! It was a great adventure, I'll PM you with some more details.

Thank all for your help. I,ll shop around for an older 3 once wedge tank.
