If I build the Stunt Machine, it will be IC. I'm still thinking about it as I fix my Avenger. I built Don Shultz's Avenger just before VSC and managed to crunch it right before it was time to leave. I did a quick and dirty fix and went to VSC. Now I'm going back and fixing it correctly and will actually sand and rub the finish before VSC next year. I was trying to decide if I wanted to do that rather than build a new plane. Still up in the air (as it were). Depends on how the fix on the Avenger comes out.

I was thinking of using the Stunt Machine in Super 70s at VSC. And I like the bubble canopy version rather than the turtledeck version, but either would do.

 I remember watching your Avenger build, it's a cool design and yours looks killer. I don't recall hearing of the crunch right before though. I'm glad to hear you're fixing it up, it's way too cool of a model to just be hanging on the wall.

Is this version of the Stunt Machine legal for Super 70s at VSC?

Whatever you decide to do with the Stunt Machine I am sure it will be very cool and I am looking forward to seeing it. I have also been a fan of this model for quite a while, beginning with when I first saw it in flying models. I have to admit I am getting a little confused on the development history as there were a few versions, some of them quite a bit larger than the published version. And then the published version had some variances from the actual shown with Gene in this thread. I have posted pictures of mine here before and have added another today as it may help to generate interest in "the machine". When I first built mine I installed a Magnum 36 but I have since switched to a Brodak 40. I am working on getting a 35S (as was used in the original) and will put it in if I can provided I don't have to rebuild the motor mounts and cowl.

What did you decide?  I think that when i get to it, i will build the OOSA AAMA (sp.??).  I have contacted Warren, but he hasn't given any info on the corrected plans. (only been 5 years! LOL!!)

What ever you do, I know it will turn out pretty!
