Stan's Concours winner was the Dove 650? Are plans still out there for it?  Also, didn't he have a smaller Dove that had a K&B 40?

Don't have the article, but there's a discussion of K&B .40s and the Powell mods in this forum entry: http://stunthanger.com/smf/index.php?topic=3584.5

Hi Stevie Boy,

Give ol' Stan a call!  AFAIK, his Concours winner was powered by one of his K&B .40s.....  It wasn't as big as Les's Stiletto 660.

It is a beautiful model, he had two (including the Concours Winner) at Huntersville once.

If you want to build a Dove 650, you can find a downloadable copy of the plan at:
http://www.outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=7159
I built a Blue Pants as a kid. Wish I still had it. Might even learn to fly it.

Hi Gil. Mo powa!  I'm sure those K&Bs were putting out more than the LA.  A Tigre .51-up would ensure the ship has enough grunt.  I have a K&B .35 of that series and vintage (stock) that I'm sure is more powerful than the LA.
