Title: Brodak Spitfire

Brodak Spitfire is now in stock. Seems there is a label issue however kits are being shipped as I type this. I have two coming for stock. Spring is just around the corner.

Well, the Spit kit is in. Very nice wood, nice laser cutting and canopy. Excellent plans and a very large handbook. The wing is built on steel rods type jig. I'm not a Spitfire fan but there is just a huge number of paint schemes including countries other than the UK. I might even build a clipped wing version like the one I saw in Thailand at the Royal Thai Air Force Museum. This is a 558 SQ inch wing for 35-46 engines. Well worth the wait.

Hi, Wayne, is the new Brodak Spitfire a flapped semi-scale stunter?  Or more of a scale flyer?  Any idea who designed this one?  Thanks...

Hi Bill,

Not Wayne, but the new Spitfire is a flapped semi-scale stunter.  I do think this is a clipped wing version of that magnificent airplane.

Bill, its a new full bodied flapped stunter designed by Pat Johnston. It looks good as far as Spitfires go.

Well, the Spit kit just arrived, WOW!  Congrats to Pat Johnston for the outstanding design, and to Brodak for a nice laser kit!  Now, which engine will be just right?  Thanks, Wayne, great service!

Bill you got an LA .40 somewhere in that mansion of workshop you got down there  LL~ I think that would work, or even a Brodak .40.

LA 46 is lighter than the 40 and easier to get consistant runs with as a bonus...and no penalty for having to use 18 lines anymore...
