Title: Jon Ramsden - (Roger Ramjet)
Post by: Les McDonald on February 26, 2017, 07:57:42 AM
I received a phone call from Randy Smith last week and he told me that Jon Ramsden had passed away.
Jon was one of the real characters around the Southeast stunt group long before I showed up in the late sixties.
To me, he just seemed to struggle with everything he touched but I enjoyed his presence.
I really don't know much else. I hadn't seen him in many years and I hope somebody will come on here and share some information about his participation in the stunt community and his eventual passing.---------God Speed JR.

Wasn't John Ramsden also known as Roger Ramjet?

  Hi Les;
    Sorry to hear about Jon. I think De is correct, he went by RogerRamjet on the forums. I bought some modeling supplies and such from him several years ago when he was retiring, downsizing , moving or all of the above.
   R.I.P RogerRamjet,

 Sorry to hear about Jon. I knew him for many years. I moved to Florida in 1972 and he was working for a big Pizza chain in the Tampa Bay area. He built several unusual stunt planes but they worked quite well. He liked semi scale models and tried hard to get them to work. Seemed like one was named Platypus.
 It had been a long time since I saw him.
