Passing of Carter Fickes
« on: November 10, 2023, 12:00:45 PM »
We have lost another one. Early this morning Carter Fickes passed away. Carter for quite a few years would show up at the contests here in Northern CA , He attended contest at the Woodland , Davis club and the Golden state Championships. Carter enjoyed building from scratch, most times drawing his plans and then building the planes. Some of the ones that come to mind are a twin engine Northrop P-61, a large scale Waco Bipe , and a DeHaviland Meteor. All controline stuff. He competed with a plans built USA-1 . He was my hunting partner and flying bud ,I will truly miss him. I will try to post some pictures in the near future.

Yes it is hard to hear when you lose a partner in things you enjoy doing.
