Dennis Lien passed away at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma at 8:24 this morning. He was recovering from a cancer operation, and was seemingly doing well.
Dennis was an AMA Nats champion, a retired USAF weatherman, and a Tulsa Gluedobber.
Dennis had been a member of the Knights of the Round Circle C/L club, and was well known for flying diesels with his good friend Barry Baxter.
They were fixtures at many of the Vintage Stunt Championships.
Dennis was a good friend of mine; of Barry Baxter and of Tony Drago.
(and several others)
Dennis was good natured, generous, and loved model airplanes, motorcycles, fast cars, his two cats, and Trish, the love of his life.
I already miss him.

De, Shocked and sorry to hear about Dennis. I was just thinking of him about an hour ago when I sent out a group email. Didn't know Dennis to well, but always enjoyed talking to him. I didn't know he was fighting cancer, but knew he hadn't been around much at all in the last few months. Sorry you lost a friend, and condolences to his family.

My thoughts and prayers to Dennis' family and friends. It is always sad to hear of the passing of any member of our little fraternity.

Hate to hear this. Didn't even know he was sick.
