I use Bob's four stroke method with his carb design provided now by Jim Lee with consistently enjoyable results. He'll be missed.

I always enjoyed chatting with Bob when we were at Brodak.  He He had a novel and extremely effective way of maximizing the performance of 4-Strokes.  His "Otias" mod for reverse rotation was especially clever.  Fair winds and tight lines Bob.  Prayers for his family and friends...

A true loss, a GREAT friend and modeler.
Sincerest sympathies to Pat.
A cherished memory-
Years ago,Bob and Pat visited the Space Coast and we shared some great times together. One evening we had dinner dockside at Port Canaveral.
Following dinner we witnessed a night launch of the Space Shuttle from Canaveral Air Force Station. Bob and Pat loved it. They always mentioned it every time we met in the following years.
Rest in well earned peace my friend.
God Bless!

Bob sure had a wonderful flying site. Well planned and maintained. I remember him telling us about the turtle that hung out in his shop. He will surely be missed by many.

This is so sad to hear. Bob was such a great host at his flying field. He even transported me on his scooter to his shop. He will be greatly missed. He and I were both Motorola techs at one time. Many years ago for me.

This news saddens me. I always enjoyed our chats at Brodak and especially enjoyed seeing his flying creations and adaptations to neat from the usual. I had been looking forward to visiting with him this year at Carmichaels but alas no more. Prayers for him and his family. RIP

Bob will be missed. We had adjoining canopies there at the Brodak Fly-In for a few years. He would share a bunch of control line secrets with anyone that would listen him. He was a nice guy to fly with.

Bob Reeves did a lot for the Gluedobbers controline club.
One of the first things he did was to make inflight videos in 2003. one was "Twistmaster Controls, and the other was Twistmaster Tank. The Twistmaster was a modified Twister that resembled a Ringmaster.
This is what Bob wrote about the Twistmaster Controls video.

"This is an inflight recording of a Controline airplane flying the AMA stunt pattern showing the control surface movements. This flight shows how much control surface movement is really needed while flying the pattern. Please understand that this video was created long before GoPro using a VHS video recorder with a RF link between the camera and the recorder. At that time we did not have a way to record audio.
Pretty sure these are the first videos ever recorded with the camera mounted on a control line model."

The camera and assorted electronics cost $400.00 in 2003.

To view two videos, go to YouTube and type in TwistMasterControls for the first video, and TwistmasterTank for the second video.

You might notice that the tail does not shake on the profile Twistmaster during manuvers.
It's commonly believed that profile models shake the empennage during flight.

The Major things Bob did for the club are as follows
1. Donated a flagpole.
2. Bought a camera and did the TwistMaster videos.
3. Let us move to his front yard and move our clubhouse, circle centers, (6 foot Cesspool Covers)
engine running stand and shelter and porta potty to it.
4. Installed water and electricity to the clubhouse.
5. Installed two wind socks.
6. Set up our website (tulsacl.com)
7. Set up our web camera at the field.

Bob's widow Patty, has graciously allowed us to stay at Reeves field for the conceivable future.
