Bill was a modeler and WWII veteran. He came to work at GM as a temp in 1968, 23 years after WWII ended. He was a Shriner and a member of our model club. He was known to fly CL & FF, but like most he drifted into electric.
Bill was an Army captain in Italy, fighting the Waffen SS.
He told me some insider veteran-to-veteran war stories.
Bottom line: Bill lived 71 years longer than the enemy.
